Understanding Sex Therapy

Thursday December 8, 2005
What is sex therapy , and why would you go see a sex therapist ? Unlike medicine, psychology, and social work, the practice of sex therapy is relatively unregulated. In fact in most places anyone can call themselves a sex therapist as it isn’t a protected or regulated title.

While many sex therapists will be licensed within their own profession, there is a great deal of diversity in the training and practice of people who refer to themselves as sex therapists.

I've compiled some of the most commonly asked questions about sex therapy, and offered answers to these quesitons, and places to go for more information.
