Porn Battle Kits?
You’d think that clergy working in Iraq would have bigger priorities than the scourge of pornography…but you’d be wrong.
According to an ABC report more than 20,000 “porn battle kits” have been shipped to soldiers fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan. Actually the figures come from the company that made them, and probably shouldn’t be believed.
The kits created by New Life Ministries are designed to provide:
military personnel (soldiers), both home and abroad, with resources that will help those soldiers who choose to maintain sexual integrity and sexual purity.
Hmm…when was the last time I heard the term “sexual purity”?
As reported by ABC the kits are designed to battle the problem of pornography, which is variously blamed for high military divorce rates, low morale, and pervasive sexual dissatisfaction.
"Your goal is sexual purity," the text says. "You are sexually pure when no sexual gratification comes from anyone or anything but your wife."
Perhaps tellingly, the only Chaplin quoted in the story is stationed in Germany. And even though I don’t believe porn is the cause of high divorce rates, bad eyesight, or loose morals, I have to admit that there may actually be too much porn in Germany.

Sounds like you enjoy YOUR porn. It does destroy, yes destroy families, relationships and self-esteem. I commend this group for trying to do SOMETHING. It’s as addictive as crack or booze. From someone who’s been there.
You, along with so many others, are the reason our young men grow up thinking that porn is ok and that its perfectly harmless to invest in. My marriage has been torn apart, glued back together with the help of our Lord, and is getting pulled apart again because of the sexual temptations that satan has planted in this world. I pray that Jesus comes into your life soon so you can realize that porn does kill marriages and relationships and teaches our young men to disrepect women.I respect our military for the volunteer work that they do, but I am learning to dis-respect the lifstyles they live. Someone has got to do something about this very sensitive subject. Thank you ABC for publicizing this serious issue and I praise God for the people who created these battle kits for our armed forces.

As a currently serving memberof the armed forces, I would like to say that the two of you above are full of shit. Here’ some Kipling, “Why, single men in barricks don’t grow into plaster saints…” Listen, I watch porn, I’ve never made it a secret to my girlfriend that I do, and I’m in a successful, 3 year long distance relationship. Porn isn’t the reason for your problems people, YOU’RE the reason for your problems. Take a little bit of responsibility for yourself, and quit bashing on people who haven’t done anything except point out something you don’t want to hear.
