A New Name for Persistent Sexual Arousal Syndrome?

CBS13.com ran a short piece yesterday on persistent sexual arousal syndrome, referring to it by a new name, "Disruptive Orgasm Disease". As I blogged last month, PSAS is little understood but seriously debilitating syndrome where "women become involuntarily aroused genitally for extended periods in time in the absence of sexual desire.”

Some of the coverage of persistent sexual arousal syndrome has made light of the condition, boasting of women who have "300 orgasms a day" as if this is a desirable situation. The CBS piece, while brief, manages to give a personal perspective and call attention to yet another aspect of sexual response which has gone mostly unexamined until recently.
