Gates Foundation to Fund HPV Vaccine Intiative
Funding from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has been earmarked to investigate the best way to use the soon to be approved HPV vaccine (actually there's two of them) in developing countries.
Just a few weeks ago a New York Times commentary asked the question, who will be able to afford to protect themselves from cervical cancer?
According to Reuters, the international non-profit organization PATH has received $27.8 million dollars from the Gates foundation in an effort to promote the use of the vaccine which is showing to be powerful tool in the prevention from cervical cancer.
