Sex and Pregnancy

Friday June 30, 2006

Until very recently sex was relegated to a paragraphs or footnotes in most books about pregnancy, and even then, it was considered something that could/should/would have to be put aside for the "greater good" of the pregnancy. As a result, many people still subscribe to common myths about sex and pregnancy.

Fortunately, over the past few years several excellent books about sex and pregnancy have been published, raising the quality of public discussion about sexuality and pregnancy.

One of the most common questions people ask about having sex during pregnancy is about sex positions.

If you're looking for more information about sexuality and pregnancy, Robin Elise Weiss, About.com's excellent Pregnancy and Birth Guide, offers some amazing, supportive, and sex-positive information on sex during pregnancy, answers to common questions about sex during pregnancy, and changes that may affect sex during each trimester of your pregnancy .
