They gave us the sexual revolution, rock and roll, the minivan, and skyrocketing real estate prices, and now, as they're bodies are aging and their sexual interest isn't, they're largely responsible for a booming personal lubricant industry.
In 1985 when I got my first job at a sex toy store there were three or four different lubricants you could easily find at sex stores, and in the drug stores there was exactly one: the ubiquitous KY Jelly. The problem was that most of the sex store lubricants had names like "Spike" and "This Won't Hurt a Bit" and contained god knows what chemicals and desensitizing ingredients. And K-Y, while easy to access, was completely inadequate for sex purposes.
Today, as the population ages, and people discover the reality of vaginal dryness and changes in erectile functioning, the personal lubricant market is overflowing with options and possibilities.
There are water based lubricants, silicone based lubricants, lubes to use if you're prone to yeast infections, lubes to avoid if you have chemical sensitivities, and even flavored lubes like Non-Fat Decaf Cappuccino (which I only wish was a joke).
But quantity usually doesn't equal quality, and navigating your way through the hundreds of lubricant choices can be tricky, especially when faced with so much slick marketing.
If you're confused by parabens and absorption rates, and all you really want to do is make sex wetter and more fun, pick up some tips and information on finding the right lube for you.

A Non-Fat Decaf Cappuccino? OMFG, where this world is heading to? hahaha… good one.
