New Sexual Health Resource for Women with Disabilities

Monday March 12, 2007

The Hesperian Foundation is a non-profit publisher of books and educational materials that help people take the lead in their own health care and organize to improve health conditions in their communities. Their materials are all simply written, heavily illustrated, and developed in collaboration with groups around the world which makes them a welcome break from the kind of token inclusion we get in so much well-meaning North American educational material.

Their newest title is A Health Handbook for Women with Disabilities which covers a range of topics and includes a great chapter on sexuality. The entire book can be downloaded for free, as well as purchased in print from the foundation's website.
