Yesterday SIECUS released their fifth annual Portrait of Sexuality Education and Abstinence-Only-Until-Marriage Programs in the States. The document offers a state by state profile of state laws regarding sex education, where federal abstinence-only funding is being spent, information on teen sexual behaviors, adolescent pregnancy, and STD rates, and much more. It's an invaluable tool for educators and activists and a must read for anyone with school age children who are interested in what they're facing as they try to raise healthy children in an antagonistic environment.
