To Do in September: Arse Elektronika

The place to be September 25 through to the 28th is CELLspace in San Francisco for the second annual Arse Elektronika, the conference devoted to sex, technology, porn, and science fiction.

This years speakers include keynotes by Rudy Rucker and Constance Penley and sessions by a variety of independent scholars, journalists, bloggers, and porn/tech/sci-fi aficionados.

I just read the blurb for Bonni Rambatan’s talk on computer generated sexuality and am indescribably disappointed that I’m going to miss it. I also bet I’m going to be sorry to miss Bonnie Ruberg as I always try to read her column and haven’t heard her talk (plus the title, “Princess Peach the Porn Star” is so tempting). There are many other speakers whose initials aren’t B.R. so if you’re anywhere near Bryant St. in San Francisco, check it out.
