Definition: A dildo is a sex toy used for penetration. Unlike a vibrator, a dildo has no motor and only moves when moved by someone holding the dildo. Dildos may be designed for vaginal penetration, anal penetration or both.

The primary differences between dildos include:

  • Material the dildo is made from
  • Shape and size
  • Density and flexibility of the dildo
  • The weight of the dildo (this can greatly change how it feels to the user)
  • The look of the dildo (color, texture, finish)
