Vasocongestion

Definition: In the context of sexual arousal and sexual response, vasocongestion refers to the swelling of genital tissues with blood. In men this results in an erection as blood flows into the penis and does not flow out. In women there is an engorgement of the genital area, vaginal opening and clitoris.
