While there is still much debate about the safety of parabens, including the use of parabens in personal lubricants, some people prefer to reduce any potential risk by using lubricants that are paraben free. Regardless of any potential long term health impacts, parabens can and do cause allergic reactions for some people. If you want to avoid this possibility, you can try the paraben free water based and paraben free silicone based lubricants listed below. Of course individuals may still have reactions to lubricants even if they are paraben free.

I have never found a silicone based lubricant that did contain parabens. One of the benefits of silicone based lubricants is that they usually don’t have ingredients that can cause allergic reactions, and the silicone itself won’t absorb in the skin. So you’re usually safe with any silicone based lubricant, but here are three of the more popular brands, which are all paraben free:
