This position allows the partner doing the penetrating a lot of opportunity both to watch their partner but also for touching. You can see in this variation that the penetrating partner has access to basically every part of their partners body.
A potential drawback to this position is the one-sided nature of both visual and touching opportunities. For the partner being penetrated to see all the action, they need to keep their head up (as shown) which can be hard on the neck muscles. On the other hand, it gives them the chance to lie back and focus on the pleasure.
