Should I Order Viagra?

Because Viagra (Sildenafil) is an FDA approved drug, if you are planning to order Viagra through an Internet pharmacy, it can be perfectly fine to do. But you should take some important measures before you order Viagra to make sure you aren’t a) getting ripped off, b) putting your health in danger, and c) possibly making a sexual problem worse not better.

Talk Before Your Order Viagra

Viagra is effective for many men at helping them get firmer erections. But Viagra and other medications for erectile dysfunction will not fix your sex life or even improve your sex life if there are problems beyond an erection. Sometimes the only problem is a difficulty getting erections. But more often, it is the case that a dissatisfying sexual relationship is the result of multiple factors that require multiple changes to resolve it.

At the very least, talk with your partner and your doctor about what is going on in your sex life before you order Viagra. If you simply order Viagra using an online pharmacy to avoid talking with anyone, you run the risk of actually making the problem worse, since you don't know what the problem is.

Where to Order Viagra

Just as serious is the concern that you can order Viagra from an online pharmacy that is what they call a “rogue” website. These are companies that set up online, look extremely legitimate but don’t send customers the actual FDA approved drugs they promise. Instead, they advertise Viagra but take your money and deliver a fake Viagra that may or may not have the same active agents as Viagra.

Ordering Viagra from an unlicensed unregulated online pharmacy presents two problems. First, you could easily get ripped off. Second, and more gravely, the drugs you get could be harmful. The FDA offers tips on how not to get ripped off by an online pharmacy, and the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy maintains a list of online pharmacies they have verified -- the Verified Internet Pharmacy Practice Site (VIPPS).

The best way to keep safe, get the most out of Viagra, and not get ripped off is to talk with your partner. Then speak to your doctor since erectile dysfunction can signal serious health problems that are important to discuss with a physician. And finally, if you get a prescription, order from an online pharmacy that is licensed in their state and listed on VIPPS.
