The woman on top is one of the most common sexual positions (despite the enduring belief that “missionary” is the most popular). The most common version of this position has the woman sitting on top of her partner facing him/her, with her knees bent and shins on the ground.
There are several for this position. Some women prefer to keep their feet on the ground so they are essentially squatting over their partner. For women with strong leg muscles this means they have more possibilities for moving up and down on their partner. Another variation has the woman facing away from her partner (so her bum is facing her partner).
